Spain and us
PT works in conjunction with major stake holders in the Mediterranean region in bulk liquid fuel storage services and also acts as an intermediary between the refineries and the consumers, bringing the various oil products closer to the users in the Mediterranean.
In Spain, in conjunction with First State Investments, CLH and others we manage one of the largest oil pipeline networks , made up of more than 4,000 kilometers of underground pipelines that link TL's direct and third parties storage facilities with the country's refineries and the main ports, into which oil products are imported. In addition, we have two time-chartered tankers to transport fuel to our facilities in the Balearic Islands and to the two plants on the peninsula that are not connected to the oil pipeline network (Motril and Gijón), as well as to cover the operational needs of the company's logistics.
Our facilities and pipelines in Spain are connected by the most modern technology to their own control centres, which allows for continuous support, management and supervision of all our infrastructures. In this way, we can resolve any issues immediately. When the fuel arrives at the facilities, we store it in different tanks depending on the type of fuel, mainly: gasoline, diesel, kerosene, fuel oil and bio-fuels.
Our terminals
We jointly operates three (3) terminals, operational 365 days per year 24 hours a day, with a total of 137 storage tanks and a total capacity of 615.395 m3. One of these terminals is located in the Port of Tarragona, another in Algerciras and the third terminal is located in the Port of Barcelona, servicing consumers and distributors from its large industrial area.

The modern facilities of the one of the two Vopak Terquimsa terminals in Tarragona, located next to the petrochemical complex, have a total storage capacity of 402.397 m3 distributed in 88 tanks.

First State Investments -Terminal Algeciras
Operated by LT is situated in the Isla Verde Exterior Quay houses formally owned by Vopak Terminal Algeciras’ hydrocarbon and liquid bulk storage and distribution terminal. It has a 403,000m3 storage capacity with 22 tanks and a pier for ships of up to 225,000 tons with its nominal storage capacity grow by an extra 880,803m3 with 36 more tanks planned to be built, making a grand total of 1,286,649m3 storage volume. At the same time, three new berthing points have been planned in the project, including all the required auxiliary equipment and pipework to load and unload tankers from the pier.
Barcelona Terminal
The Terminal of Barcelona has a capacity of 212,998 m3 and a total of 49 storage tanks.
